Strategy
From our very first contact with prospective clients, our recommendations are straightforward and specific. Proposals are comprehensive and detailed. Throughout the relationship, strategy is refined to fit changing client circumstances. At each stage, everyone is on the same page. Clients can see tangible evidence of their plan taking shape.
Holdings
Our use of individual equities, fixed income, and ETFs enables tight control of a portfolio’s risk. A simplified account structure also makes the portfolio very transparent. In short, clients know exactly what they own.
Cash Flow
Performance is important. Ditto for capital preservation and portfolio liquidity. Investment portfolios should reflect each investor’s cash flow needs and risk tolerance. Dividend and interest income is one component of total return. Through asset allocation and individual security selection, we can develop client-specific levels of portfolio liquidity. During the accumulation phase of your career, growth is the primary objective. As retirement approaches, a mechanism for converting accumulated assets to usable cash flow becomes critical. This liquidity is built into client portfolios to meet specific objectives.
Performance
Clients are able to assess recent and long-term performance on an absolute basis and relative to market benchmarks. Returns are provided for recent and long-term performance periods. Aggregate performance for multiple managed accounts is also provided so that clients can receive a complete picture of their portfolio.
Taxes
Capital gains taxes are one of multiple factors taken into consideration. Account-specific tax strategies are implemented at year-end to minimize each client’s tax liability. Unlike mutual funds and model portfolio managers, we are able to make decisions with your tax issues in mind.
Fees
Management fees are based on assets under management (AUM). Our fixed percentage fee structure aligns our goals with yours. Our fee structure together with our independence encourages and enables us to put client interests at the heart of all investment decisions.
